Melissae Lemon Balm Session 6% 500mL
Gold Medal, Seattle Wine Awards 2024 (94 points).
The Melissae were a triad of divinatory Priestesses in ancient Greece, referred to as "Priestesses of the Honey Bee." The Melissae were keepers of bees, tenders of the land, and makers of mead.
Lemon Balm's real name is Melissa officinalis. Melissa means "bee" in Greek, referring to the delight bees have for the plant. We think you will agree with the bees! This sparkling off dry mead is made with lemon balm and clary sage honey, and is light bodied & brightly acidic with citrus and herbaceous notes. Fresh harvested Melissa is Washington sourced.
